Decius (2266)
Decius was a 23rd Century Romulan officer with many powerful allies in the Romulan Star Empire.
Decius served aboard the Praetor's flagship that crossed the Romulan Neutral Zone in 2266 and attacked several Federation outposts.
Following their attack, Decius broke radio-silence to send word back to the Praetor of their success. In doing so, he alerted the USS Enterprise of their location, and as a result he was lowered in rank by two grades by his Commander.
Decius later wanted the honor to led his ship in a counterattack against the Enterprise, however, the offer was turned down by his Commander, who instead led the attack himself.
Decius would be killed in the conflict after their ship was outgunned by the Enterprise and his commander initiated the self-destruct device, while teetering on the edge of the Neutral Zone. (TOS: "Balance of Terror")
