The Decartes was a Federation Type 7 shuttlecraft that was in service with Starfleet in the mid-24th century, attached to the USS Enterprise-D. It was shuttlecraft 11.
In early 2366, the Decartes was listed on the shuttlebay operations display as undergoing an overhaul in Hangar 1. (TNG: "Evolution")
Most likely named after French scientist and philosopher René Descartes, although the name was misspelled on the Okudagram.
