Dayos IV was an inhabited planet located near the Klingon and Federation spheres of influence.

In 2363, it was the home of a former wife to the Albino when she was discovered by Kang. She was still deathly afraid of the villain and refused to reveal his whereabouts to the vengeful Klingon. In 2370 she died, but not before dispatching her locket to Kang disclosing the location of the Albino's sanctuary in the Secarus system. (DS9: "Blood Oath")

Miles O'Brien's Starfleet Intelligence created alias of Connelly, a down on his luck fix-it man, got two years for dealing in stolen goods on the planet. Liam Bilby sympathized with "Connelly" while discussing his past, and regarded the incident as a "tough break." (DS9: "Honor Among Thieves")
