David R. Deitrick is an artist. During the 1980s, he worked for FASA providing cover art for a large number of their releases in their Star Trek line. In addition to that work, he worked on art for Deadlands for Pinnacle Entertainment Group and Star Wars for West End Games.

He was born in Oakland, California and ended up living in rural Alaska by the age of eleven. After working in the oil fields, construction, and being an officer in the army, he moved into art as a full time profession. He has worked in most mediums, including drawing, painting, and sculpture.
