According to the Internet Movie Database, Thomas played a Vulcan elder in Star Trek. This has not yet been confirmed.

Thomas has been acting steadily since the early 1990s, appearing in such films as Posse (1993, co-starring Robert Hooks, Tommy "Tiny" Lister, Jr., Bob Minor and Salli Elise Richardson), The Odd Couple II (1998, with Ellen Geer, Richard Riehle and Daniel Zacapa), Fight Club (1999, with David Andrews, Tim de Zarn, Zach Grenier, and Matt Winston), The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas (2000, starring Joan Collins), The Crow: Salvation (2000, starring Kirsten Dunst), Nutty Professor II: The Klumps (2000, with Nikki Cox, Charles Napier and Andrea Robinson), Backflash (starring Colm Meaney, Michael J. Pollard and Mike Starr), Hellborn (with Tommy "Tiny" Lister, Jr. and Tracy Scoggins), and Ghost Rock (with Adrienne Barbeau and Craig Wasson). Some of Thomas' other film credits are The Soloist (2009, with Stephen Root and Justin Rodgers Hall) and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009, starring his Star Trek co-star Rachel Nichols).

His made-for-television movies have included Buffalo Soldiers (1997, with Bob Gunton) and Voodoo Moon (2005, with Jeffrey Combs). In addition, Thomas starred in and associate produced the pilot movie for The Privateers. Working with Thomas on this project were his Star Trek co-star Karl Urban and Star Trek: The Original Series star Walter Koenig.
