Template:Realworld Template:2009spoiler David Paul Dozoretz (born 28 May 1971; age 52) is the founder of Persistence of Vision Digital Entertainment (POV). His company is working on the upcoming Star Trek for J.J. Abrams, with Dozoretz serving as the film's senior previsualization supervisor. Dozoretz also designed the film's teaser trailer with Chad Hofteig, Kevin Aguirre, and Jason Michael Hall. He had previously worked with Abrams in the same capacity on Paramount Pictures' Mission: Impossible III.

Prior to founding POV, Dozoretz was an employee at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). With ILM, he worked in previsualization on Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope and Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. As an ILM concept artist, he worked on Star Trek Generations as well as Jurassic Park, Forrest Gump, Disclosure, Casper, Jumanji, Mission: Impossible, and Dragonheart.

Dozoetz's credits as POV's previz supervisor include Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, Moulin Rouge, Flight of the Phoenix, xXx: State of the Union, 1408, and Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. He also served as previz consultant on X-Men: The Last Stand, starring Kelsey Grammer, Famke Janssen and Patrick Stewart.

While working on the 2001 film Behind Enemy Lines, Dozoretz first met fellow previs artist Brian Pohl. In 2005, Dozoretz brought Pohl in to become co-owner and previs supervisor at POV.

In 2008 Dozoretz became the Chief Creative Officer of a new television network. He passed on the role of POV Chief Executive Officer to Brian Pohl.
