Template:Realworld Darrell Arthur Anderson (born 22 February 1933; age 91) is a special visual effects designer and specialist, the co-owner of the Howard Anderson Company, an optical effects house working on numerous Hollywood film and series productions. The company resided on the Desilu lot.

Anderson was assigned to design and film the optical effects for the two Star Trek pilots along with his brother, Howard A. Anderson, Jr., and later the series itself. However, the amount of work deemed to be too much for only one company, so the producers employed the services of several other optical houses besides the Anderson Company. He was the co-recipient in 1967 of an Emmy Award for Individual Achievements in Cinematography for his work on Star Trek: The Original Series. The other co-recipients were Linwood G. Dunn and Joseph Westheimer.
