Darkstorm was literature read by Makull's species on a Class M planet in the Delta Quadrant.

In an alternate timeline, a young boy named Latika saw Kathryn Janeway and Tom Paris appear out of thin air and screamed. He went to an officer and told him what had happened. However, the officer dismissed his story and told him that he was reading too many Darkstorm tales. (VOY: "Time and Again")
