Daphne was a figure in Greek mythology. Daphne was among the band of alien explorers who briefly lived on Earth in ancient times, allowing themselves to be worshipped as gods and other entities. However, after leaving Earth for Pollux IV she, along with all of the other aliens except for Apollo, eventually transcended physical existence leaving Apollo behind by himself to mourn their going.
