Daniels, a Human male

Lieutenant Daniels was the tactical officer and security chief aboard the USS Enterprise-E serving under Captain Jean-Luc Picard from at least 2373 to 2375. (Star Trek: First Contact; Star Trek: Insurrection)

Lieutenant Daniels was part of the defense of the Enterprise-E against the Borg, and took part in the failed attempt to reach main engineering and destroy the hive mind. Later he reported to Worf that the Borg controlled over half the ship, but had mysteriously stopped advancing.

When the Borg resumed their attacks he reported to Captain Picard that the weapons were no longer effective, but when ordered to return to the ship's defense he did so without question, despite Worf questioning Picard's orders. (Star Trek: First Contact)

In 2375 Daniels was present on the Enterprise-E's mission to Ba'ku to investigate Data's malfunction. When it became clear that a forced relocation of the Ba'ku was in progress, Daniels remained on the Enterprise when it journeyed to the edge of the Briar Patch to send a message to Starfleet to get them to withdraw their support.

Daniels took part in the Battle with the pursuing Son'a ships and advised Commander Riker against using the ramscoops to collect unstable Metreon gas. (Star Trek: Insurrection)

Background

Lieutenant Daniels was played by actor Michael Horton.

In the non-canonical novels, Daniels has the first name Padraig, and was assigned to the Enterprise-E after working as a demolition expert on Earth. He spent six months away from the Enterprise on paternity leave in 2374, during which his duties were covered by several officers, including Rowan, Rhea McAdams, and Baeta Leyoro. After the end of the Dominion War, he retired and was replaced by Christine Vale.

He shares a last name with Crewman Daniels, however the two are not known to be related.

The Star Trek Customizable Card Game gives his name as Thomas McClure.
