Trotti's name was seen on directory listings seen on the set of "Demons".
D. Trotti was named after David G. Trotti, who worked as a second assistant director on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager and later as first assistant director on Enterprise. He also worked on Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.
