Cygnet XIV was the inhabited fourteenth planet of the Cygnet system. This was the homeworld of a female-dominated species.

In 2267, the USS Enterprise put in to Cygnet XIV for general repair and maintenance. During the overhaul, the planet's natives, deciding that the ship's computer lacked sufficient personality, modified it with a female one. This caused some annoyance to the crew, especially Captain Kirk, whom the computer often addressed as "dear", and Mr. Spock, who noted that the computer had "an unfortunate tendency to giggle." (TOS: "Tomorrow is Yesterday")

According to Star Trek: Star Charts ("United Federation of Planets I & III"), Cygnet XIV was a Federation member by 2378. The Cygnet system was a single star system located in or near Federation space. The star Cygnet was a K-class star with a magnitude of +5, the same brightness as Sol.
The novels Beneath the Raptor's Wing and Synthesis suggest that this planet is related to Omega Cygni.
