Curt Truman, Descent

Truman's makeup continuity polaroid for "Descent"

Curt Truman is an actor who worked as recurring background actor on Star Trek: The Next Generation. As background actor he received no credit for his appearances and was identified through the makeup continuity polaroid from "Descent" and through several call sheets. His part in "Descent" was to remain silent and not to move because his role was a dead body. Two Starfleet uniforms worn by Truman, one distressed and previously worn by James Washington, were sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [1] [2] According to the call sheets, Truman filmed bridge scenes and the scene 31A for the fifth season episode "Redemption II" and Ten Forward scenes for the episode "New Ground" but was not part of the final episodes.

Truman had featured parts in the drama The Bonfire of Vanities (1990, with Kim Cattrall, Saul Rubinek, Louis Giambalvo, Richard Libertini, Marjorie Monaghan, Kirsten Dunst, John Eric Bentley, Don McManus, Richard Gilbert-Hill, and F. Murray Abraham), the action thriller Point Break (1991, with Lori Petty, Christopher Pettiet, Mike Genovese, Galyn Görg, Jack Kehler, and Raymond Forchion), and episodes of Wings (1992, with Steven Weber) and General Hospital (1991-1993, with Nikki Cox) before he was chosen by director Penny Marshall to portray Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. in the comedy Calendar Girl (1993, with Irene Roseen and Liz Vassey).

He earned his SAG card while working as a construction worker on Murder, She Wrote and appeared in the television series Rude Awakening (1998), Diagnosis Murder (1999, with Scott Lawrence), Sunset Beach (1998-1999), and Passions (2000, with Tim Lounibos). Truman can also be seen in Hollywood Squares (1999, with Tom Bergeron and Whoopi Goldberg), Extra (2003, hosted by Dayna Devon), the television drama Inside a Black Box (2000), and as a waiter in ten episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful (2000-2007). He appeared in a television commercial for Zellers Department Stores and in the music videos "Ghetto Superstar" by Pras Michel and Mya in 1998 and "It's Now or Never" by Elvis Presley.

In more recent years, Truman worked as location coordinator on the crime thriller Angel of Death (2009, with James Lew, Monica Staggs, and Fernando Chien) and on the CSI: NY episode "The Formula" (2010, with Robert Joy). As a licensed real estate agent in Michigan and California with his company Truman, Inc. Real Estate he worked for celebrity clients such as Hugh Jackman, Aaron Eckhart, Terrance Howard, Mehcad Brooks, Courtney Love, Steven Sodenbergh, Michael Corbett, and Golden Brooks. Truman currently resides in Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan.
