Craig Asato (born 26 November 1967; age 56) is an assistant camera operator who worked as 2nd unit first assistant camera operator on the Star Trek: The Next Generation fourth season episodes "Data's Day", "The Wounded", "Devil's Due", "Clues", and "Night Terrors".

Asato worked as lighting assistant on the television series The Joker's Wild (1977-1986) and The New Tic Tac Dough (1985-1986) and as gaffer on the science fiction comedy Invasion Earth: The Aliens Are Here (1988).

His work as assistant camera operator include National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989, along with Douglas Knapp), Air America (1990), seaQuest DSV (1993, with Ben Betts), Bye Bye Love (1995), Metro (1997), Primary Colors (1998), and Beverly Hills, 90210 (1998), Charmed (1999-2001), and Monk (2004-2009).
