Template:Realworld Component Game Systems was a game company named after its core gaming system. Its original name of Companion Games changed after they modified their unpublished Galactic Empires game for use with other properties' material.

The Component Game System is an expandable game that plays with as many players as you have game sets. The modular format allowed for different game play every time the games were played. It was sold in many licensed versions, both in individual race sets and in core sets of several races. The company had licenses to produce Babylon 5, Hercules & Xena, Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek based games, all of which could conceivably be played with each other.
