Company 3, or CO3 for short, is a post-production company that is performing digital intermediate for 2009's Star Trek. [1] The president of Company 3 is Stefan Sonnenfeld, who was also the studio's Digital Intermediate Colorist on Star Trek. [2]

In addition to Star Trek, Company 3 has performed the digital intermediate process on two other films photographed by Dan Mindel: Domino (2005) and Paramount Pictures' Mission: Impossible III (2006). The latter film, like Star Trek, was directed by J.J. Abrams and co-written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.

Company 3 has also worked with J.J. Abrams on Paramount's 2008 film Cloverfield, which Abrams produced. In addition, the company has worked on two additional films written by Kurtzman and Orci: 2005's The Island (which features Ethan Phillips) and 2007's Transformers, both of which were directed by Michael Bay. Company 3 also worked on Eagle Eye, which Kurtzman and Orci executive produced.

The many other films for which Company 3 has produced digital intermediate include: The Amityville Horror (starring Jimmy Bennett and Rachel Nichols), X-Men: The Last Stand (starring Kelsey Grammer, Famke Janssen, and Patrick Stewart), the Pirates of the Caribbean sequels (Dead Man's Chest and At World's End, both featuring Lee Arenberg), 300 (featuring Stephen McHattie), Live Free or Die Hard (featuring Tim Russ), National Treasure: Book of Secrets (featuring Bruce Greenwood), and two football films starring The Rock: Gridiron Gang and The Game Plan. Their credits also include such hits as Collateral, Dreamgirls, Rush Hour 3, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and Quantum of Solace.

Company 3 has many other upcoming films on their slate. Besides Star Trek, they recently completed work on the thriller Valkyrie, directed by Bryan Singer. They are also working on films such as G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra (starring the aforementioned Rachel Nichols), the remake of Friday the 13th (featuring Nana Visitor), the film adaptation of DC Comics' Watchmen (featuring Matt Frewer and the aforementioned Stephen McHattie), and Michael Mann's highly-anticipated crime drama Public Enemies.
