the comunitations array is a small network of transmiting and reciving antenas, the most comonn of theas is radio wave, microw wave, & subspace wave. most likly interconected with the sensor arrays, and probably running of the same eps feed. my thought on this are both the sensores and comunications systems would be like a satilite for resiving signal, (the best acustics are in the shower) the sensors are located on the main hull, with little to no abstruction from the diseing of the ship, so likly the comuntications array would alsow need "good acustics" so placing in the same arae and on the same realays would make scence. although out of date with starfleat comunicatyions regulations radio and mico wave comunications may be needed for first contact situations.. (it also acured to me that they may use a infor-red port of some type, but i'm just guessing) this is my 2 cents, if you use it great, i love your site and will make some more long winded coments on the othe blank sites i've seen! |

Hey, tear this apart and rewok it how you see fit, but i thought i'de take a crack at the basic science!
