A chromoelectric pulse is a type of energy discharge.

In 2374, Tom Paris fired a chromoelectric pulse at a shuttlecraft being piloted by a genome thief, which had been modified with a coaxial warp drive. This disrupted the polaric modulator in the coaxial drive, preventing the genome thief from escaping. (VOY: "Vis à Vis")

The term "chromoelectric field" has meaning in particle physics, where it refers to certain components of the field-strength tensor of the strong nuclear force.
