Template:Realworld Chris Sprouse (born 30 July 1966; age 57) is a comic book artist from Virginia.

He discovered comics at a young age when his family moved to New Delhi, India for a period of time. He began drawing when they returned to the United States, eventually contributing an ongoing comic strip for his school newspaper.

He joined the comic industry in 1989, a few years after graduating from James Madison University. He took over the series Legionnaires (featuring teenage versions of the Legion of Super-Heroes) at DC Comics and eventually worked on Splinter of the Mind's Eye, a Star Wars miniseries for Dark Horse.

In 1997, he drew several issues of Supreme for Alan Moore and then co-created Tom Strong with Moore for America's Best Comics. In 2004, he co-created and penciled Ocean with Warren Ellis.

More recently, he has begun doing cover work for the Legion of Super-Heroes series, including doing the "B" cover with Karl Story for the fourth issue of IDW Publishing's Star Trek - Legion of Super-Heroes mini-series.
