Chris Dows is a comic book author. He works primarily with his writing partner Colin Clayton. Together, they worked on 5 issues of Malibu Comics' Star Trek line. In addition to their Star Trek work, they wrote a miniseries called The Searchers, which brought together a number of famous literary characters, pre-dating the more famous League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. They have worked in the UK working on tie-in comics such as the Rugrats, Action Man, and Looney Tunes. In addition, Dows has done contract work for StarTrek.com and the Star Trek Fact Files.
