Chocolate is a sweet, dark-colored substance derived from the cocoa bean (which is actually a seed). Counselor Deanna Troi was particularly known for her love of the product, calling it "a serious thing" and saying, "I never met a chocolate I didn't like". (TNG: "The Game") Troi also preferred "real chocolate", not one of the "perfectly synthesized, ingeniously enhanced imitations" produced by replicators. (TNG: "The Price")
