Chili con carne (also known as chili) was a spicy dish from Earth, made primarily of beef, chili peppers, onions, beans, and tomatoes.

In 1957, the Pine Tree Bar and Grill in Carbon Creek, Pennsylvania, served chili burgers in its bar and diner. (ENT: "Carbon Creek")

In 2374, Neelix made Rodeo Red's Red-Hot, Rootin'-Tootin' Chili, although he thought he used too many jalapeños when many eaters of the chili came down with acute functional dyspepsia. (VOY: "Message in a Bottle")
