Chili con carne (also known as chili) was a spicy dish from Earth, made primarily of beef, chili peppers, onions, beans and tomatoes.

In the mid-20th century small town of Carbon Creek, Pennsylvania, the Pine Tree Bar and Grill served chili burgers in its bar and diner. (ENT: "Carbon Creek")

In 2374, Neelix made Rodeo Red's Red-Hot, Rootin'-Tootin' Chili, although he thought he used too many Jalapeños when many eaters of the chili came down with acute functional dyspepsia. (VOY: "Message in a Bottle")
