Cheese is the name humans give to a variety of foods created by culturing milk.
Earth dogs have a problem digesting cheese, which often makes it unwise to feed it to them. Nonetheless, it was Porthos' favorite food, and Captain Archer often fed it to him against Doctor Phloxs wishes. (ENT: "Dear Doctor")
