Winchester's name was displayed on a computer listing of the Raymond family's genealogy, along with others such as Sherman T. Potter, Frances J. Mulcahey, Margaret Houlihan, and Walter O'Reilley. (TNG: "The Neutral Zone")
Winchester and others in the list were references to characters in M*A*S*H productions. [1] The character of Winchester in particular was played by TNG guest star David Ogden Stiers.
