Charles Macaulay (26 September 1927 – 13 August 1999; age 71), also credited as Charles Macauley, was an American actor. Born in Kentucky, he worked from the early sixties to the early nineties, including several appearances as Perry Mason's hapless opponent, District Attorney Hamilton Burger, towards the end of his career. His aristocratic bearing and sonorous voice often led him to be cast as judges, doctors, attorneys, and other authority figures. He died in California of cancer in 1999.
