Chalna was the homeworld of the anarchistic Chalnoth race.

While commanding the USS Stargazer in 2354, Captain Jean-Luc Picard visited Chalna. He recalled his visit there to Esoqq when they were imprisoned together twelve years later. (TNG: "Allegiance")

Chalna also appeared in the starchart Data and Picard were studying in the Enterprise-D's stellar cartography department in 2371. (Star Trek Generations)
