The Central Hospital of Altair IV was one of the larger hospitals on the planet Altair IV.
One of the more prominent doctors there during the 2370s was Dr. Henri Roget, who in 2371 was nominated for the Carrington Award for his lifetime dedication to the medical field, and won it. (DS9: "Prophet Motive")
The hospital made an appearance in the Slings and Arrows novel The Insolence of Office, when a young Geordi La Forge visited it trying to have his optic nerves repaired.
