The Catullans are a humanoid species, native to the planet Catulla. They seem to have the power to make a nerve pinch similar to Vulcans, but it involves the ears rather than the neck.
During the late 2260s, the Federation and Catullan government were undergoing fragile treaty negotiations. By 2269, the negotiations had reached a crucial phase when the son of the Catullan ambassador was discovered aboard the stolen space cruiser Aurora, but the USS Enterprise. (TOS: "The Way to Eden")
