A Catfish is an aquatic lifeform native to Earth. Some human cultures eat cooked catfish.
Fried Catfish was Commander Charles "Trip" Tucker's favorite meal. (ENT: "Unexpected") In 2152, upon believing the replicator at an automated repair station could replicate any food, the first thing he asked for was a "pan-fried catfish". The station of course found the genome of it in the Enterprise's database, including the recipe. (ENT: "Dead Stop")
In 2161, Chef was preparing the favorite food for every member of the Enterprise's crew, including Trip's favorite, catfish. He planned to supplement it with Edosian suckerfish, which resembled a catfish, but he wasn't sure if they tasted similar as well. (ENT: "These Are the Voyages...")
