Dr. vs. med. practitioner[]

What about non-medical doctor titles like a degree in science should they get a seperate page for explaination of the title, or a list of non-medical persons with a degree ? -- Q 20:04, 7 Sep 2004 (CEST)

I've got to agree with that, getting redirected to a List of medical practitioners from doctor is just plain silly. You can be a doctor of anything else. Tyrant 16:46, 16 Jan 2005 (CET)Tyrant
Anyone against us having a page for doctor in which we simply address that it is the highest level of university education in any field? We could have a link to the List of medical practitioners there, as well as references to any other kind of doctor that has come up in trek. Tyrant 12:34, 11 Feb 2005 (GMT)Tyrant

Medical Subcategory to Scientists[]

I propose a subcat to Category:Scientists for all medical practitioners like Beverly Crusher, Selar etc., I think there are enough of them. Kennelly 11:15, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

Support. Needs to be differentiated; more than enough to fill. --Alan del Beccio 04:04, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

Changes 5 Sep 07[]

Reworded. As written implies high civ. and tech. levels for med. prac. Can have some form of med.prac. at almost any level of civ. or tech. Removed species - doctor, nurse are very generic; Native Americans are from Earth; vulcans not only ones with healers.--StarFire209 03:47, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Individuals vs occupations[]

Instead of having occupations such as Chirurgeon listed here, how about a sub-cat of Category:Scientific occupations called "Medical occupations"? --LauraCC (talk) 20:07, March 17, 2016 (UTC)

Also, are there enough who are obviously nurses or doctors to split into "Nurses" and "doctors" sub-categories? --LauraCC (talk) 15:38, March 19, 2016 (UTC)
