Blanket page for Holograms Edit

I've noticed that for the most part, the information about Holograms, Holodecks, Holosuites, etc. Is spread out over many different articles. But there really isn't an article discussing the general nature of holographic technology. What constitutes the term "holographic" and what are its general properties and limitations? The closest MA comes to this is in the article Holodeck, but even that falls short. My proposition is that we create an encompassing article that sweeps over all the holographic technology encountered in Star Trek and its various uses, as well as its general properties and limitations. It would also contain links to other articles that could provide more in-depth information about a specific technology (such as a holodeck or a mobile emitter). (Ddeschw 16:37, 2 September 2007 (UTC))
