Carrie Lynn Crain is an actress, writer, producer, and director from Austin, Texas who was featured as a Ten Forward waitress in three third season episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. As a background actress she received no credit for her appearances.

Crain earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma and studied acting in Austin and Dallas in Texas. Beside her work on The Next Generation, Crain can be seen in episodes of Falcon Crest, Married...with Children, Hunter, Matlock, Coach, Wise Guy, Dear John, and Cheers (1989 episode "Feeble Attraction" with Kirstie Alley, Kelsey Grammer, Joey Banks, Don Bennett, Jay Crimp, Ivonne Perez, and Rebecca Soladay).

Her film work includes Leonard Nimoy's comedy Funny About Love (1990, with Freda Foh Shen, Michael Bofshever, Celeste Yarnall, and Kristina Kochoff), the action film Another 48 Hrs. (1990, with Kevin Tighe, Ed O'Ross, Bernie Casey, Page Leong, Allan Graf, Biff Yeager, Rex Pierson, and Shauna O'Brien), the drama Flatliners (1990, with Julie Warner and Shauna O'Brien), the drama The Anarchist Cookbook (2002, with Gina Philips and John Savage), the comedy Grand Champion (2002), the drama The King (2005), and the comedy The Ringer (2005).

Crain also worked on many television commercials and print campaigns. Crain is a cousin of actress Marcia Gay Harden and is also the owner of Carrie Crain Designs, Inc., a rare photo album boutique located in Austin, Texas.
