The Cardassian escape pod was a small Cardassian craft used to evacuate a ship during an emergency.

In 2370, Cardassian military officer and Federation operative, Joret Dal, was recovered from a Cardassian escape pod by the crew of the USS Enterprise-D. He had used the pod to escape Cardassian territory in order to deliver vital information. (TNG: "Lower Decks")
