According to a deleted scene from the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Remember Me", Cara Hill was an exobiologist assigned to the USS Enterprise-D in early 2367. She was the wife of Doctor Richard Hill.

The character was played by Marilyn Rockafellow in the deleted scene. Her costume was sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [1]
