Captains Courageous is a 19th century novel by the British author Rudyard Kipling.

In 2375, Lieutenant Tom Paris was telling Captain Kathryn Janeway about his obsession with stories about the ocean as a child and how much he enjoyed reading books like "Captains Courageous" and Moby Dick. (VOY: " Thirty Days")
