Campor III was the inhabited third planet in the Campor system. This was the home of a Federation colony, which was established on the planet in 2371. (DS9: "Defiant")
"KAM-poor" was the pronunciation for this planet's name from the script pronunciation guide. [1]
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on the chart "United Federation of Planets I", Campor III was listed as a member planet of the Federation in 2378. Note: The Roman numeral I was inadvertently dropped from this name, so the name reads Campor II.
