Campor III was the inhabited third planet in the Campor system. This system was was located in Federation space. It was the site of the Campor colony, which was established on the planet in 2371. (DS9: "Defiant")
According to the script for this episode, the pronunciation for Campor was "KAM-poor" [1]
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on the chart "United Federation of Planets I", Campor III was listed as a member planet of the Federation in 2378. Note: The Roman numeral I was inadvertently dropped from this name, so the name reads Campor II.
