The Cal-Neva Lodge was a hotel/casino located overlooking Lake Tahoe, near Reno, Nevada on Earth. Cal-Neva was incorporated into the holosuite program Bashir 62, a 24th century rendition of 1962.
That year, Vic Fontaine planned on flying up to Tahoe for a couple days to see his friend Sammy perform at the Cal-Neva. While there, Vic intended to introduce Nog to Sammy. (DS9: "It's Only a Paper Moon")
Known as the Cal-Neva Lodge during the given timeframe, it was later renamed as the Cal-Neva Resort
Cal-Neva takes its name from the two U.S. states it straddles; California and Nevada.
