"Gentlemen, I'm Caithlin Dar."
"Oh, yes, our new Romulan representative.
"
– Caithlin Dar and St. John Talbot, 2287 (Star Trek V: The Final Frontier)

Caithlin Dar was the Romulan representative to Nimbus III, the so-called "Planet of Galactic Peace," in 2287.

When she initially arrived on Nimbus III, she greeted her counterparts, the Klingon, General Korrd, and the Terran, St. John Talbot, with optimism and a cheery disposition, although her positive attitude was not returned.

When the three diplomats were captured by the renegade Vulcan Sybok, they fell under his mental manipulation and chose to join his "Galactic Army of Light". Dar participated in the creation of a hostage tape meant to lure a Federation starship to Nimbus III, with which to further Sybok's goal of travelling to the mythical planet of Sha Ka Ree. When a rescue team from the USS Enterprise-A arrived, the three swiftly disarmed them and took control of the ship. Upon the conclusion of the crisis, the three of them shared a drink aboard the Enterprise, with Talbot remarking, "how far we've come in such a short space of time." (Star Trek V: The Final Frontier)

Dar was played by actress Cynthia Gouw. According to the novelization of Star Trek V: The Final Frontier her Terran-esque given name, Caithlin, stemmed from her being one-quarter Human.
Dar appeared to become romantically involved with her fellow dignitary, St. John Talbot, at the end of Star Trek V.
