Cmdr. Bruce Maddox
Commander Bruce Maddox was a 24th century Starfleet cybernetics expert, and the Associate Chair of Robotics at the Daystrom Institute. He was the only person to object to Data's entry into Starfleet Academy in 2341. He unsuccessfully tried to have Lt. Commander Data of the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) disassembled for research in 2365. (TNG: "The Measure of a Man") However, after the incident, Lt. Commander Data continued to discuss his android abilities with Commander Maddox, including his inter-personal activites. (TNG: "Data's Day")
