Captain Brody was a 22nd century Starfleet officer, and the commanding officer of the Saratoga.

In 2151, Commander Charles Tucker III, chief engineer of the Enterprise NX-01, pulled EPS control specialist Crewman Jane Taylor off of the Saratoga to be on his engineering team, an act which angered Captain Brody. Tucker was reminded of this incident in 2154, after Taylor's death in a Xindi attack. (ENT: "The Forgotten")
