The Bringloid system was a system. This system was located in the Ficus sector. Planet Mariposa was located half a light year from the system. This system was located less than 90 light years from the Sol system.
For two centuries, before its evacuation by the USS Enterprise-D in 2365, an Earth colony thrived on the planet Bringloid V. This changed when the star Bringloid underwent a period of transformation rendering the planet unlivable for Humans. (TNG: "Up The Long Ladder"; ENT: "Two Days and Two Nights")
In "Two Days and Two Nights", the Enterprise, a NX-class starship, set a milestone in 2151 by becoming the first Starfleet ship to travel 90 light years from its homeworld. The SS Mariposa was launched from Earth on a colonizaton mission to the Ficus sector in 2123.
