Brian Tochi (born 2 May 1963; age 60) is the actor who played the role of Ray Tsing Tao in the Star Trek: The Original Series episode "And the Children Shall Lead". Almost twenty-three years later, he appeared in the Star Trek: The Next Generation fourth season episode "Night Terrors" as Ensign Kenny Lin. He filmed his scenes for "Night Terrors" on Monday 14 January 1991 on Paramount Stage 8.
Born as Brian Keith Tochihara and as a native of Los Angeles, California, Tochi has starred in both television and in film; on TV, he is best known for his role on the 1980s TV series St. Elsewhere, playing Dr. Alan Poe from 1984-1985.
