Boris Lee Krutonog (born 26 July 1960; age 63) is a Moldovan-American actor who played Lojur in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. He later reprised that role in the Star Trek: Voyager third season episode "Flashback", where he was credited only as Boris Krutonog.

Krutonog graduated at Columbia University with a diploma in industrial engineering. He was discovered at a party in New York City in 1987, when someone was looking for a "Russian-looking" thug for an action film role.

He is probably best known for his role as the helmsman in The Hunt for Red October (1990, with Timothy Carhart, Ned Vaughn, Daniel Davis, and Gates McFadden).

His further film credits include Contact (1997, with Tucker Smallwood), Air Force One (1997, with Paul Guilfoyle, Dean Stockwell, Spencer Garrett, Bill Smitrovich, Dan Shor, Glenn Morshower, Pasha Lychnikoff, Don McManus, and Paul Sklar), and The Italian Job (2003).

He appeared in guest roles in several television series, including Millennium (starring Megan Gallagher and Terry O'Quinn), J.J. Abrams' Felicity, Chicago Hope (starring Jayne Brook, with Ellen Bry and Leslie Hope), CSI: Miami (with Pasha Lychnikoff), J.J. Abrams' Alias (with Merrin Dungey and Victor Garber), NYPD Blue, 24 (with Gregory Itzin, Bob Gunton, Glenn Morshower, and John Noble), and Castle (with Toks Olagundoye).

Between 2015 and 2018, Krutonog played the recurring role of Igor Burov in the spy series The Americans.

From 2004 to 2012, Krutonog served as a co-executive producer on the A&E network reality television series Dog the Bounty Hunter and was series star Duane Lee "Dog" Chapman's best man during Chapman's wedding May 2006.

In 2003, Chapman and Krutonog were both arrested in Mexico after the capture of serial rapist and Max Factor heir, Andrew Luster. Mexican authorities dismissed all charges against Chapman and Krutonog after the statute of limitations had expired. [1]

He currently operates a private ambulance company in Los Angeles called Amwest Ambulance company. [2]
