Boradis III was the third planet in the Boradis planetary system. The first Federation colony in the star system, established in 2331, was located on this planet.

By 2365, three other colonies were present in the Boradis system, and nine other outposts were present in the sector.

In 2365 the USS Enterprise-D was on a mission just outside the system to intercept a Class-8 probe which carried Special Federation Emissary K'Ehleyr. Data and Commander Riker gave a brief description of the systems history to Captain Picard. (TNG: "The Emissary")
