Bokara VI was a planet near Federation space. In 2369 it was the site of a conference on neuropsychology that was attended by Counselor Deanna Troi.

While at the conference, Troi was abducted by members of the Romulan underground movement and surgically altered to take the place of Tal Shiar Major Rakal in order to help with the defection of M'ret, a high ranking member of the Romulan Senate. (TNG: "Face of the Enemy")
