A biography is the written form of the life of a person. If the person writes it him or herself, it is called an autobiography.

In 2152, a biography was being prepared on Henry Archer. His son, Captain Jonathan Archer was asked to write a short introduction. He had some difficulty putting his thoughts into words, which were aggravated by a singularity's radiation. (ENT: "Singularity")

A biography was written on Doctor Paul Stubbs, which was not approved by him. It contained information on his strong-willed mother and was read by Wesley Crusher. (TNG: "Evolution")

A simple biography was written into many personnel files, including that of Senator Vreenak. (DS9: "In the Pale Moonlight")

In an alternate timeline, a notable biography was written on famed author Jake Sisko. This was written prior to 2450 and covered his scientific studies in 2422. (DS9: "The Visitor")
