Bio-genovesium is a liquid compound that is used aboard Federation starships that is able to break down organic components of humanoid waste products. It also has the ability to transform these organic molecules into different compounds.

Bio-genovesium was one of a list of compounds that Lieutenant Commander Data and Deanna Troi searched through in an attempt to find one that could produce enough energy to release the USS Enterprise-D and an alien ship from the Tyken's Rift in 2367. (TNG: "Night Terrors")
