In a holoprogram set in 1944, Tom Paris, in the role of an American soldier named Bobby encountered Harry Kim in a corridor of the USS Voyager in 2374. As a test, Paris asked Kim (who claimed to be an American civilian) what part of Betty Grable he would be staring at if she walked around the corner. Kim answered correctly just in time. (VOY: "The Killing Game, Part II")

In an alternate timeline 1944, a German SS officer claimed that Americans were good at making movies with stars like Grable, Rita Hayworth and Veronica Lake, but not at fighting. He said that, at some point, he would go to Hollywood and meet Betty Grable. Jonathan Archer did not think that he was Grable's type. (ENT: "Storm Front")
